Biology Department Scholarship
UPDATED 2024/2025
This fund was established by the Biology Department faculty to recognize and provide financial assistance to a deserving student majoring in a field of study in which Biological sciences are foundational.
To be considered for this scholarship you:
- Must have a 3.0 (B) GPA
- Must be enrolled at least part time at Mesa College
- Must major in one of the following areas:
Biology
- Must have completed 12+ units at Mesa
- Must have taken or be enrolled in courses in one of the following areas:
Biology
Award funds will be disbursed:
Immediate release of full award (May)

- 2024:Please list the biology courses you have completed at Mesa College, and share briefly how these courses have impacted your goals. (500 word limit)
- 2024: Why does the field of biology appeal to you? What events, influences or circumstances in your life have shaped your understanding or appreciation of biology? Please describe these events and your future career or educational goals as they pertain to the field of biology.
