Jerry Schad Memorial Scholarship

UPDATED 2024/2025

Long-time professor and department chair Jerry Schad inspired many students through his writings, photographs, and star parties, to deepen their understanding of the natural world. This scholarship was established to honor his legacy here at Mesa.

To be considered for this scholarship you:

  • Must have a 3.0 (B) GPA
  • Must be enrolled at least part time at Mesa College
  • Must demonstrate service to others
  • Must have completed 12+ units at Mesa
  • Must have taken or be enrolled in courses in one of the following areas:
    Astronomy
    Chemistry
    Engineering
    Geology
    Oceanography
    Physical Science
    Physics

 


Award funds will be disbursed:
Immediate release of full award (May)
