Devan Caddell Memorial Scholarship

UPDATED 2025/2026

Devan Caddell was an honor student and cross-country and track star. In 2007, he passed away in a car accident. The Exercise Science faculty and staff created this scholarship to honor his hard work and dedication to his sport and education.

To be considered for this scholarship you:

  • Must have a 3.0 (B) GPA
  • Must be enrolled full time at Mesa College
  • Must demonstrate service to others
  • Must demonstrate leadership
  • Must be transferring to a 4-year college in the fall
  • Must have completed 24+ units at Mesa
  • Must have either completed at least 1 intercollegiate sport season at Mesa College or be currently participating in an intercollegiate sport at Mesa College
  • Must have letters of reference

  3. 2025: Community Service. Please share your experience regarding ways you give back to your community, this may include volunteerism, or helping out with family, friends, church, etc. (500 words)
  4. 2025: Leadership. Please describe your individual leadership style and discuss a specific incident or event where its characteristics demonstrated beneficial service to the campus or your community. Additionally, define what that service has meant to you. (500 words)
